I have been using Benefactor for 10 months in my role as Trust Manager for a grant-giving trust. As a lone worker, it’s important to have a system that ‘makes sense’ without having to constantly seek reassurance and guidance, and I find that Benefactor makes a lot of sense. Having spent some months assimilating the system and making some changes myself, I thought it would be useful to have a proper training session with Gallery to consolidate what I’d learned so far. I booked some training, primarily to look at ways to improve the online application form, but I knew it would lead to wider discussions and I was right. I had an invigorating training day with Valerie and we covered lots of ground. In a former life, She completely took that on board I was a previous database trainer and adapted her delivery style so that we had more of a workshop in which we discussed what I wanted to achieve and then worked it out together. I didn’t need a blow-by-blow list of how-to instructions but, if you do, then I’m sure that Valerie can deliver that style of training too! She’s very client-focussed and that’s what you want really. It was so worthwhile, that I’m going back for another day with a different focus. So far, I’m very pleased with the system and the support that Gallery provide.
